Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can't figure out indicator lights??? There's nothing in the instructions about the different indicator light colors. As soon as I plug it in the light is GREEN. So that can't mean it's heated up to the temperature on the dial. Then there's a yellow light and sometimes a red one. The instructions don't say anything about the different colors and what they mean? This is used as a craft iron and I would really like to know when it's at the right temperature. Probably going to replace it with something else that I know when it's really hot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loved it while it worked Have had about a year and only use it to iron fabric. Have been so careful to place on the floor on a hot pad so the cat can't knock it down. Used it yesterday, unplugged it and it started leaking water really bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great iron I received this item for free for my opinion. I thought this was a great iron. Worked really well taking out wrinkles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Classic iron Loved this iron for the first month but than it stopped steaming now the water won't stop leaking when I iron. It dripples out every other min. Even when there is barely any water. Not too happy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not built to last I bought a new one a few years ago and used it sparingly. Now it doesn't heat up properly and shuts itself off before getting hot enough to use. Upon further internet research, it seems many people have had a similar experience with this substandard product. It is also difficult to disassemble, dissuading anyone from attempting a repair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work Won't heat up and have read the instructions several times to make sure I am doing it right. Wish I had kept my old iron I bought in the late 70's. I am very disappointed with Black & Decker. From the few reviews I have read says this is a piece of junk. Makes me rethink buying from Black & Decker.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It doesn't even work!!! This iron has a mind of its own!!! Doesn't matter which way I laid it, the power indicator flickered green but then turned off right away. Couldn't get it to heat up! Brrrr. I'm returning it to get a different brand. How disappointing!!! Used to be my favorite!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as it used to be I bought this iron several months ago, and I'm very unhappy with it! The iron spits water out constantly from the bottom, and leaks from the reservoir opening. I have taken to putting just a tad bit of water in the iron to use on the steam setting to try to avoid the water spitting out. Even that doesn't seem to help. I can never iron something at the last minute because all of the water spitting out leaves the clothes damp. I am ironing right now, and have decided that I am throwing this iron away and going back to another brand that I used prior. The newer version of the Classic iron is certainly not as well-made as the original.
