8 Cup Food Processor is rated 2.4 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from extremely unhappy with product!!!!! I bought this a couple of years ago and could not assemble it to work at the time. Put it away because I did not have time to deal with it (a mom of 6 who works full time). Recently tried to get it to work again and still cannot put it together to work. The chopping spindle will not go down all the way and so I cannot close the lid. I have had other food processors before that were not so difficult. Ready to throw it out/just collecting dust & wasting space. I guess I will have to buy one from a competitor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Decent food processor--if all parts present I've purchased two of these from Amazon, both for gifts--and both of these were missing parts. The first one, I chalked up to a fluke--it was missing the interlocking system that allows the blades to spin. So I purchased (very expensive, comparatively) replacement parts for the gift recipient, with a thousand apologies and much embarrassment. The second one, which I just purchased for myself--missing the same parts. Amazon won't accept a return on it. Welp. I guess this would be great, if I could use it. Off to buy more expensive parts that should've come with the package, I suppose.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So loud can't hear Bought this food possessor about 4 months ago and the first thing you notice is how loud it is. It has this LOUD high pitched sound it makes every time you use it, you can't even hear anything talking next to you and after you turn it off your ears are ringing. Wish I would have never bought this brand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Blade runs too fast for decent slicing I bought this machine mainly to slice veggies. The blade spins like a tornado, way too fast. I tried carrots and ended up with partially shredded slices in different thickness. Not very appealing. This machine definitely needs different speed settings. If you look for a food processor to mainly chop food or to purée food, this might be a good machine for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good for the money I bought mine in 2011. Used it much less than I used to but it still works well. I just bought a new model that dices. Wish I could have found a dicing attachment for this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from pain to clean if you don't have a dishwasher the cup of this thing is impossible to clean. food getsstuck in the minute spaces where the slicer attaches. there is nothing small enoughto stick down there and using the spray on the sink has taken up to a half hour todislodge the food. very aggravating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Blade broke and hex shaped shaft rounded off I received my FP1600B as a gift. I have used it 3 times. On the 3rd use ( on carrots ) the shaft rounded off and the metal of the shredding disc deformed. It was working great up until then.

Can this be used to make dough and pasta?

Asked by: Newby

Where can I find the "gear" piece that holds the spindle in place so it actually turns?
