Place the peaches in a large saucepan and add 4 tablespoons water. Cover and cook on medium-high heat for 10-12 minutes, or until the peaches are very soft. Cool to lukewarm.
Place the fruit and any remaining liquid into the blender jar and add the salt, sugar and butter. Select Auto 3 and blend until very smooth.
Store in the refrigerator in single, meal-sized plastic containers. Seal tightly. Warm slightly in the microwave oven before serving. After serving, discard any uneaten portion.
