Kids' Personal Pizza

Kids love to help create their own "pizzas." Use toppings your child would love to have on a pizza or use what you have on hand for a quick dinner.

Ingredients:

  1. 2 tbsp pizza sauce; divided between halves
  2. 16 mini pepperoni slices; divided between halves
  3. ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese; divided between halves

Directions:

  1. Open the English muffin and place on baking pan included with the toaster oven. Set oven to toast and toast the English muffin to desired shade. I would recommend a light brown toast shade to keep the English muffin from getting too hard.
  2. Let them cool slightly and then using a spoon, put pizza sauce on both halves of the English muffin. Lay 8 slices of pepperoni on each half of the muffin. Cover both halves with the shredded mozzarella.
  3. Move the rack to the top (broil) slot and put the English muffins back in the toaster oven (on the baking pan included with the oven). Set the time to 5 minutes.
  4. Once the cheese is melted and golden brown, take out of the oven. Allow to cool slightly. You can cut them in half or smaller pieces depending on who is eating them.
  5. Notes: This is a basic recipe and you can add any kind of topping that your child would like. Some suggestions would be black or green olives, sausage crumbles, bacon, cooked chicken, mushrooms, diced onions or green peppers. You can change the sauce to alfredo or even pesto. Or mix up what kind of cheese to use. Be creative and have fun coming up with fun and unusual personal pizzas!
