8-Slice Digital Extra-Wide Convection Oven is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke after 6 months. Used this oven for six months. The digital screen and key controls died. There is no way to change cooking mode, temp or time. The oven just gets stuck on full blast, and will randomly reset. Off to the dump it goes. The review when it worked: fiddly unintuitive controls where it defaults to 20 minute timers after power loss, which you can see other reviewers complaints about. Thin flimsy cheap stainless steel body that gets far too hot. No way to turn off convection in bake mode. Only will last you six months of daily use, then you gotta throw it out and buy a new one. Planned obsolescence or poorly built digital boards....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great buy Very happy with this BLACK+DECKER 8-Slice Digital Extra Wide. The quality, fit, finish and ease of use are all what I was hoping for.I love that you can fit a standard 9x13".5 baking pan. I'd say that it can do almost anything my regular full sized oven can do with the convection cooking option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've been needing this for a LONG time! I am a baker by trade so that means I can only afford to bake in convection ovens at work. I NEVER imagined I would be able to have one so when I first laid eyes on the Black and Decker 8-Slice Digital Extra-Wide Convection Oven I was in HEAVEN! I also needed it because I couldn't convince my husband to use the oven as a toaster. He insisted that it was too hard to remember to turn over the toast after a few minutes under the broiler. The toaster has a ton of bells and whistles, every option you could ask for when it comes to cooking things. The symbols on the door tell you which button to push - for example, if I want to use the convection oven, I find "convection oven" on the glass and the symbol then press the corresponding button. The only drawback is the size but I guess it's not really a drawback if you have space and you have been wanting a convection oven that can easily accommodate a quarter sheet pan. Yes, you read that right, a QUARTER sheet pan!! It just so happens one batch of cake fits perfectly in this size pan so it's no problem at all baking one off in the little oven. I've also used it to roast broccoli (on the convection setting) and it worked perfectly. The tops and bottoms of the pieces were cooked perfectly. It does an amazing job at making toast and English muffins, the only thing is that it takes a little bit of trial and error to figure out which number setting works best. It seemed that 3 was too light and 4 was too dark but I'm still fiddling around with this. It has a removable tray underneath that is super easy to clean (just don't do like I did, please remember to put it back after you wash it!). The last feature I thought I would mention would be the little wire rack. It slides in and out with ease and you can either put it on the top to use on the broiler setting (there is an extra tray to go under it to catch drippings) or in the middle.

How to set temperature for convection cooking

Asked by: Ben w
Hello Ben w. Thank you for your question. To set the temperature on your convection oven, you will want to press the temperature buttons to select the desired temperature. Up arrow for a higher temperature, and down for a lower temperature. You will want to press the arrows that are on the left when you are looking at the oven.

What is the difference between: TO3290XG and TO3290XSD? Since you can't be bothered to put the information needed to purchase a product on your website please rethink this policy.

Asked by: KevinA

Where is the product information I need to make a buy decision? Interior width, height, depth, Exterior width, height, depth, Wattage, high temperature, temperature fluctuation? This information is not in the users manual nor on B&D website.

Asked by: KevinA

Does this unit really have to be unplugged when not in use? First toaster oven I've seen that mentions that in the user manual.
