Rated 2 out of 5 by from They don’t make them like they used to!! After owning a B&D toaster oven for 20 years I noticed the light flicker while not in use and decided time to buy a new one. I bought a 4 slice toaster oven with the timer. And like other reviews I’ve read the timer function is hard to find the right setting. I make my son a waffle before school every day and either the top or bottom would burn. I have to keep the baking pan in and I marked the timer with a sharpie for the right time. That baking pan is cheap. The first time using it to reheat leftovers the pan got extremely discolored looks like food was burnt onto it so now I keep foil on pan and drip tray.Besides the above most recently when toasting we are now hearing a loud blowing sound for about 10 seconds then it stops and then the timer continues. We bought this toaster over about 6 months ago and I’m not sure if it’s going to last much longer!!Id appreciate a representative replying with suggestions.Thank you!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from MELTED!!!! Beware! My toaster over got so hot while making toast the “legs” melted off the toaster! My last B&D toaster lasted 5 years and this one is less than 2 months!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from T01700SG Toaster Oven I bought this toaster oven earlier this year and the bottom inside and the rack has been rusting in a very odd way. The only thing I use it for is to toast bread; I never wet the inside. This is clearly a defect with the manufacturing and I want a replacement that won't have any defects/issues. Thanks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Horrible instructions The instructions that come with this oven are horrible. It does not explain how/when to use the different racks. What do I do with the flat, solid tray?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from All rusty I bought this oven in August and it is all rusty, even since the first month. I have tried many products to clean it but it looks like it is old and never beind washed (which didn’t happen with my old brand). It really looks disgusting. The temperatures are also hard to set. It burns my cup cakes on the top and the desserts I have tried to make there.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Confusing Manual I think this toaster is sufficient for what I need it to do... toast, but I still haven't figured out how to configure the trays and bake pan. The instructions manual labels the parts but never gives you instructions on where to put them. Wish I knew how to properly use my toaster

Rated 2 out of 5 by from POOR AS A TOASTER We bought this almost 2 years ago, the latest in a long string of B&D toaster-ovens that have been quite satisfactory, but I can't say the same about this one. We use it daily, and 99% of our use is as a toaster, so my comments are about its toaster function.First human factors: The toasting control knob is now a timer, from 0 to 30 minutes. Finding the exact about-2.5 minute setting to toast a slice of bread out of a range of 30 is not easy, and burnt toast can easily ensue if you don't watch it. Earlier models had a separate toast-doneness control that was MUCH easier to use.Second, toasting performance: Toasting one load of bread works well (assuming your timer setting is correct; see above). But toasting a second load immediately afterwards is almost impossible. The top knob is a temperature thermostat control, with the TOAST setting at the top setting. You'd hope that the thermostat would be disabled when you toast, but sadly this is not the case. After toasting my first load of bread slices and part way through my second load of bread, the toaster finds its temperature limit has been reached and turns off the element. So you have to wait until the oven has cooled down before you can toast a second load. This is a TOASTER, not an oven! This is a serious flaw when making sandwiches for a group.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from How do I top brown? My wife and I want to know how we would top brown toast or a bagel. Do we use toast with the drip tray or put it on broil?
