Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very bad quality I've had it less than a month and the drip spring popped off mid brew. Can't find any support or replacement anywhere. Wish I could return it but it was a gift.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Like it but Hate it We got this as a house warming gift for my boyfriend and I. Last night I figured since he had to be up way before I did I would program the coffee pot. Well that's the problem it won't program. I've tried twice when I first did it around 11pm then again at 5:30am. It just doesn't work....Once we get our taxes back I'm switching to Keurig!!! I do not recommend this to anyone who needs a programmable coffee pot!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Decent coffee maker but clock gains 4 hours/ day Bought this coffee maker to replace a cheap piece bought at Drugstore on Christmas Day. I don't drink coffee but the wife does and the Kuerigs just didn't get it hot enough for her.She wanted a programable one. Great concept but this one has a flaw with the clock. Every twelve hours, the clock gains approximately two hours. The time set for the brewing cycle remains at 7 AM but in reality, it starts brewing in the middle of the night. Must be a design flaw as others on the Walmart website have experienced similar results. The CSR at Spectrum told me no one else has had this issue (!) and I should return it to the store and get it switched. Doubt I will do that as the next one would probably do the same. Argh.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Coffee tastes burned and maker smells like burning I bought this a couple of months ago and the coffee always tastes burned. I've bought new coffee, cleaned the unit out several times and it always tastes bad!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have had for years! I happened to buy this at a Black Friday sale MANY years ago, and I have never had one problem. It’s a very inexpensive product that has been very dependable!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Made Great Coffee Until... I bought this B&D Coffee Maker last September (9/2018) at my local Walmart. Every morning since then my wife and I looked forward to and enjoyed our favorite coffee blend reliably brewed up by this unit. It was even a breeze to clean! Then, sneaking disaster struck. It happened, in fact, while washing the completely cooled carafe that I bumped the bottom edge of it against a coffee cup. While it bumped the cup firmly it did so with scarcely any force. Made of sturdy, tempered glass reinforced with a metal band at the bottom, I was unaware this minor collision shattered a small section of the carafe's bottom edge making a hole. Unaware that is until early the next morning when my sleepy wife was astonished to find she couldn't fill with water what apparently had become a bottomless carafe! Forced for now back to drinking instant coffee, we're both disillusioned over our otherwise excellent coffee maker's extremely fragile carafe. Should we have bought a Mr. Coffee instead!?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Killer of Joy Endless issues with this product. Poorly made. I would rather be stabbed in my chest and bottom simultaneously than ever have to use this product again. It was a huge disappointment every time I tried to use it. Buy this for your enemy, maybe a mother in law.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bought this last month & today it's leaking water I purchased this from Walmart about a month ago when my old pot stopped working. Up until today it worked just fine, but today when I went to get a cup, I realized that half of the water had leaked out onto my counter and made a huge mess. I am very disappointed in the quality of this coffee maker given it's still practically new.

Hello, I have the Black and Decker 12-Cup* Programmable Coffeemaker and would like to use a resuable basket filter versus the usual paper filters. Is this possible? Which basket is recommended for this coffee maker? Thank you, Elizabeth W.

Asked by: ElizabethAW
Thank you for your question. You can use a permanent filter with this coffee maker, and most brands 8-12 cup basket style permanent filter should work.
