8-Cup Thermal Programmable Coffee Maker is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rust corrosion My parents bought this coffee maker and they have had it for a short while. When I came to visit I thought the coffee tasted strange. I was disgusted to see rust corrosion in the pot. Defiantly not well made.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Coffee but has some issues So after several years this got put on the garage shelf but now we're not satisfied (at least not yet) with the cup we are getting from it's 5x cost replacement. We got used to/like very much Costco's San Francisco Dark Roast made in this coffee maker. It produces a very strong robust cup that really starts the day off right. We've been putting up with the inferior lid (rubber seal weakens very quickly), and the adhesive stuck label on top of the buttons came off (which will be accelerated if you have an occasional overflow of hot coffee over the panel which is inevitable with multiple people using the device, why didn't you empty the carafe last night!!!). So I'd say for the price, I'd definitely buy this again...but I'm a geek... so I bought a fancy "smart" maker... so far we can't reproduce the great cup that this maker created with our new device. We still have variables to adjust to keep trying but I just thought I'd come here to give this maker its props.I certainly would like to know more details about the maker. I did just buy a new digital thermometer so I will be trying to measure the temperature we are getting from this machine since that and the brew time [which I already know all too well from using it for years] seemed to be just right for the dark roast we were drinking (we usually grind the night before).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken kid after 2 months Echoing everyone else on here - we've only had this coffee maker for a few months and already a broken lid. What a waste of $$! Wish I had read this chain before I bought it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great coffee put but lid does have issues This model appears to be a replacement for cm1509. I have owned the cm1509 for many years. I believe I purchased it in 20010. I like the 8 cup size and the insulated carafe. The coffee stays warm for a long time with out evaporating or scorching from the warmer plate. I like that it turns off. I can leave for work with out wondering if I left the coffee pot on. However, like many others, after a while I was unable to pour coffee without removing the lid . At that time it was possible to purchase a replacement lid. This new lid has lasted at least one year (I'm not sure when I purchased the replacement) but now it is also broken. I would gladly replace the lid again. I have not been able to find an 8 cup coffee maker with a thermal carafe to replace this one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from thumb depressor broke This is my second purchase of this model thermal coffee maker. I had the first one for years, this one is only 18 months old and the thumb depressor that allows the coffee to pour has already broken. I have loved how it keeps the coffee so warm without keeping it on the maker, therefore reducing that old burned taste, but this is very disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lid breaks, and no parts are available. Like countless others have said, the lid breaks. The design is very poor. I took the lid apart and it uses plastic levers to open the valve, instead of metal. It's designed to break with time. I called asking for a replacement lid, and they have no parts available. This makes the coffee pot really annoying and difficult to use.As others have said, this coffee maker has other flaws. There is no warmer, and you have to make *very* sure everything is installed correctly, or it may brew all over your counters. My thermal carafe seems to keep coffee warm for a decent amount of time at least, but a warmer is what's really needed. I'll be buying another coffee pot, and it won't be a black and decker, that's for sure.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lid broken We bought this coffee maker to replace our previous one (also B & D). That coffee maker had lasted for 10+ years so we wanted the model closest to that old version.Initially, this coffee maker worked well. Actually, it still works. The problem (as other reviewers have noted) is the lid mechanism broke so now the solid needs to be completely unscrewed inorder to pour the coffee.Id be okay with simply replacing the lid but I can't find anywhere to get one.Until the problem with the lid gets fixed I can't recommend this maker.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Need replacement lid I like everything about the pot but now I have to completely remove the lid to pour. Do you sell a replacement? A new carafe lid design would get a 5 star rating.
