Rated 2 out of 5 by from Coffee brews warm not hot Tired of going to the dive thrus every morning. Got this for Christmas and liked the size but there are two issues that are forcing me to consider a new model/brand.As mentioned in another review, without a heating pad the coffee starts to chill immediately requiring a microwave if you are planning on adding to your cup. The other issue and this is a bigger one for me is the temperature. My coffee comes out of the carafe at 145 degrees every time. Not nearly hot enough to really "brew" coffee.I did an experiment and went to McDonalds, Burger King and a chain gas station known for the good coffee. Got a medium black coffee and went to my car and immediately used a digital thermometer. All had a temp of 165 -175.I am generally a fan of B&D tools and appliances but this one just requires to much work every morning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’m single and this is a perfect size for me! I received this as a Christmas gift. Yes there is no warming stand. I can make a single cup, my to go mug, or a small pot of 5cups. The coffe turns out great every time! I don’t have to reheat my coffee in the microwave. Thank you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Warming Pad I bought this last month and my son kept complaining his coffee was cold if he didn't drink it right after brewing. Turns out the coffee pots with the adjustable stands do not have warming pads so if you brew a pot of coffee your second cup does not stay warm. Does not say this anywhere on the box or instructions

Is the base not a warming plate?  I brewed a carafe of coffee this morning, drank one cup and went back for a second.  The coffee was cold.

no... it's removable so that you can put a tall travel mug and drip coffee directly into a larger mug.

Black & Decker- I am very interested in this product, but would never intentionally purchase something with a  high cancer risk. Very sad to see this still on the market as is. Do you have any plans to remake this product in compliance with Prop65?
