Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible!!! After having this a year, I am fed up with it! First off, when you use the pot to pour water in the reservoir, the water runs down the front and onto the floor. I tried tilting it and even pouring it slower. It keeps on running down the front. Honestly, about 75% of the time. You can get lucky now and then. Second, you really, really, really have to make sure the pot's tip, on the top, rests perfectly under the spring loaded plunder on the bottom of the coffee basket. You can't just put it under and walk off. It will cause the basket to fill with water as the plunger isn't pushed up by the pot's entrance way. If you were thinking of getting this one, maybe because of the price, DON'T DO IT!!!! Find another one or spend a few more bucks on a better design. I HATE this machine!!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brews up a big mess each time I've had this model only 3 days and every morning I've walked into the kitchen with coffee grounds all over the basket, in the carafe, on the counter--you name it. I seem to recall having this problem over 20 years ago and I believe I removed the basket drip blocking item that is used to plug it up if you want to "sneak a cup". I guess I'll have to try that again, but it really shouldn't have to come down to this, honestly. This model is more laborious than it is worth just to brew coffee. I bought Black and Decker because the last one was a good model, not like this one and that last model lasted 20 years until the bottom eventually started to leak overnight. This one does not appear to be a promising purchase at all. I will most likely end up changing brands if removing the drip basket plugging device does not work

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the features I love my B&D but I'm not liking the way it doesn't keep the time, it's kinda hard to set it to go off at a certain time if the clock is gonna malfunction. At first I thought my husband was touching the clock when he made coffee but one weekend he wasn't home & it did the same thing. We've also figured out you have to put the coffee basket in place just right b/c if not it's gonna run over, that's not good. Please work on these things to make your products better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from junk Ive had this for two days and now realize i wasted my money. Like most others are saying, the water hardly drips into the pot and it overflows and makes a big mess. Customer service suggested i clean it. Well i did clean it before i made my first pot. Ive made 3 pots now. All 3 have overflowed. Ive already quit buying black and decker power tools because they are junk, i guess now im done buying anything made by black and decker. Im definitely not happy. And on top of that the coffee gets t9o hot and burns it within an hour. Never again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from coffee maker I AM VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS MACHINE. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL OF THIS TYPE AND NO TROUBLE. I JUST WENT TO WALMART IN HARKER HEIGHTS TX. AND GOT A REFUND. IT DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. ONCE THE CANISTER WAS PUT INTO PLACE, IT RAISED THE FILTER HOLDER AND IT ONLY FILLED IT AND ALL THE WATER RAN ALL OVER MY COUNTER.WITH THIS MUCH TROUBLE, I DECIDE TO GO BACK TO THE MR. COFFEE WHICH I HAVE USED FOR ALOT OF YEARS. I WANTED A PROGRAMMABLE POT AND I GOT WHAT I PAID FOR. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER BLACK AND DECKER COFFEE POT.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this Coffee Maker! Returned another Name Brand coffee maker because clock was malfunctioning and purchased this one for a better price. So far works great and coffee is excellent--only had for 1day :)PROS: Like the fact that the tube in the water well is clear so I can be sure that it is clean. It was solid in my previous unitSlimmer than the Name Brand maker I returned and fits counter wellIlluminated digital clock, so I can read it from across the room and light to let me know I set the Timer.CON: Previous maker had water view window on both sides. Made it more adaptable for counter positioning. Would like to see that feature on future B & D Coffee Makers in this price range. Thanks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would never buy this again I bought this for a economical coffee pot for my office at work.I share my coffee with neighboring co workers so I wanted a big 12 cup pot. The smell when I first got it was strong of plastic or some chemical. It stayed well into the first few pots of coffee and I still smell it from time to time. Not sure if I have adjusted to it or if its actually gone. Also have had it over flow out of the top of the machine at least 4-5 times in the month and a half I have owned it. Coffee grounds everywhere all over my counter top, into the water reservoir, down inside the pot. Huge mess. I thought I was just over filling so I cut back to making 10 cups at a time and still have to watch it carefully. The programming works, but who wants to risk coming in to a huge coffee disaster?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware! I have used Black and Decker coffee pots for years and have always been extremely happy with them. Last month my old faithful coffee pot died. Off to the store to replace it the next day. I was delighted to find the exact model I had been currently using. My delight did not last long. At least 50% of the time the coffee will not flow through to the pot and I have a gigantic mess to clean up. Now I must admit that there was a small note saying that the pot must be under the basket to prevent overflow, well, after 20 plus years of making coffee I certainly know where to put the carafe. I am so disgusted with this appliance that is going in the trash! I will have to go with another company that will at least test their products before selling them to the public.
