Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does a great job in grinding seeds especially chia I purchased two of these at the local Ross store in Hawaii Kai because they immediately caught my eye how well they are made, and have worked welll for over two years. I do need to buy a replacement cover however, and would also like to buy two more grinders for my renters. Aloha, Milan Vacek nuts and seeds because I never drink coffee (the Theobromine in coffee is toxic to me and damages my liver and kidneys much as it damages the health of dogs for example, same toxic chemical as is found in chocolate. Anyway, Chia seeds and hemp seeds have become my favorite seeds to grind, along with pumpkin and sesame seeds , and this grinder does a great job. That is why on a lark I looked at the underside of one of the grinders that I have had for probably more than two years to see what brand it was -- did not find that information, just "Made in China", the original red-ink logo on the outside of the stainless steel barrell had long worn off, but I found the model number so I decided to test Google to see if it could find the product on the web just from the model number and it did find it immediately, first link was this one. The reason I needed to look up the manufacturer is to try to order a spare part, ie a replacement cover because the small black plastic interlocking "tooth" that engages whatever safety mechanism is inside the housing to make the blades spin only when the cover is safely in place and the interlocking lever is being pushed to prove that the cover is in place protecting the user from touching the blades had broken off probably from my banging the cover too hard against the body of the grinder in my effort to get the residue of the grindings to fall out so I would not have to use a plastic spoon or fingers to "spoon it out". So if you could please tell me how much a replacement cover costs, and how much a new stainless steel grinder costs, I would like to order one of each, so the renters of my luxury vacation rental home in Honolulu www.AlohaPalace.com can also experience a wonderfully well made coffee grinder, to grind their coffee, and hopefully also chia seeds, the local Costco sells both in organic quality and very cheap. Better yet please quote me the cost of two new grinders, so the renters can use one exclusively for grinding coffee and the other exclusively to grind chia and other seeds. ALOHA from Honolulu, Milan Vacek :-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, cap broke I have been generally happy with the product. I have used it to grind spices, coffee, nuts, etc. It generally works well. The base of the grinder is steel, so it doesn't hold flavor or smell residue. It can grind from corse to somewhat fine range. I wish this had a switch to control speed for fine or corse grinding.Recently, the black part of the cap which you have to press to turn it on broke. It feels delicate and a small force can snap it. It is still working. Is cap covered under warranty or can be purchased separately?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worked fine until the lid broke. This seems to be a pretty common complaint. The lid broke after normal use. The lid is also very hard to clean, and a good amount of coffee gets stuck in the lid and around the top of the grinder itself. I can probably still make the grinder work, but I'll be shopping around in the meantime.

This was a gift so i am not sure how old it is. been using it for awhile. Today the motor would only turn slowly. Difficult to turn the blade by hand. Issue seems to be the bracket that the shaft goes thru at the top. need part.. more info if needed.
