Rated 4 out of 5 by from General Rating Saw all the bad reviews and had o write a good one. Have had the unit for about 18 months & my only real negative is that I wish it would grind a little finer however if you double grind, you can get really close to the expresso grind needed. Just make sure you do clean it as grounds can get caught in the top and where the container goes which may stop the unit from working. It's not top of the line but it does work well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Used it twice. Grind selector is useless. High and low settings produce the same thing. My coffee is now so thin and tasteless.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t buy it Stick to a basic model. Even though there is a setting for the number of cups, it never seems to be consistent. Machine stops grinding, but continues to run. Finally stops, not enough beans are ground. If I turn the machine upside down and shake it, it goes back to grinding. Sometimes is works fine. Haven’t tried to do a fine grind yet, but sounds like that is a problem. I felt it was the operator so I didn’t return it. According to the reviews doesn’t sound like it. Wish I had taken it back but as a Christmas present I didn’t want to ask for a receipt now it’s too late.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible - doesn’t fine grind We bought two of these as family Christmas gifts at Walmart and they don’t grind fine enough, leave chunks of beans. I can’t find my receipt but would like to return. Please help!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic smell and taste The Good - Easy to load, easy to use, convenient container to catch the ground coffee, and it is not too noisy. The Bad - Strong plastic smell from the machine that transfers to the ground coffee. Even after washing all the parts, the grinder leaves a unpleasant plastic smell and taste to the grind. I am using a old fashion percolator, so no problem with the "fine" ground setting. If I can't get the smell out, I wouldn't recommend the grinder to a friend, or anyone else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Fine Grind I just bought this grinder, used it for the first time today and agree with all the reviews. I wish I had reviewed the product previously as it simply doesn’t make even a remotely fine grind. It’s a cheap grinder, so not expecting much but it’s just been a waste of coffee.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No fine grind It is relatively quiet, but grinds only very coarse or coarse. Very bad choice for someone who wants to grind coffee fine. So whatever they say in an instruction manual about fine grind it is not true.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad design on so many levels In addition to supporting other reviewers concerns regarding controlling the size of the grind (pretty much impossible) I would add:1. Although the grind in the container may be sometimes be ok, the fine dust collects on the walls of the container and inevitably gets mixed in with the other grounds, making pressed coffee muddy and bitter.2. The inner mechanism keeps popping our of its locked position, and then you have to empty the un-ground beans into another container, reset the thing, and start again.3 Fine dust accumulates on the spout that shoots into the coffee grounds chamber, and when you remove that chamber, the grounds fall on the chamber platform, the countertop..... what a waste of coffee. If we could find the receipt, this would go right back to the store we bought it from about 3 months ago. Would go back to my old Braun grinder in a minute.
